Neil Dolan MSc
Hi, I'm Neil and I am fully qualified and nationally accredited Clinical Hypnotherapist, Neuro-Lingusitic Programming Practitioner and Executive/Life Coach who provides treatment to clients across South Yorkshire, from therpay suites in Sheffield S10, Barnsley S75 & online via Skype etc.
I know all too well what it's like to suffer from menatl health problems, I suffered from anxiety, depression and addictions for well over two decades. Since resolving my own mental health issues in 2014, I have consistently been re-educating myself and working in the field of therapeutic behaviour change.
I believe in taking a person centred approach to therapy, treating the person not the condition, focusing on your personal needs, wants, desires and goals.
We can all struggle at times to deal with the many day to day stressors of life. We can easily start experiencing difficulties which can lead to negative patterns of thinking and numerous difficult symptoms, such as anxiety, fears, stress or even addictions. These issues can often lead to relationship and work difficulties.
Together, we can explore what has brought you to therapy and address any psychological mechanisms which are maintaining your current issues. My aim as a therapist is to help you to change the way you perceive your situation and the way you relate this to yourself.
What is my professional experience?
I have been working in the field of supporting people to make significant changes in their lives over the last six years. My career has spanned a whole range of environments including schools, community teams, adult addiction rehabs, a specialist family rehab, and complex psychological needs services, as both a complex needs and a therapeutic worker.
I continue to work in the field of complex needs and as a theraputic worker in residential rehabilitation. I find a great sense of connection, fulfilment and satisfaction in supporting people to grow in confidence and reach their potential, living life on their new found terms.
I have worked with clients from all walks of life and my personal core values of trust, honesty and respect, have enable me to work successfully with clients that have ranged from homeless people to board directors.
Just as my clients evolve and change so do I. I am starting a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy in November as part of both my continued professional and personal development.
